I remember that tweet from Rachel and the uproar it caused, leading for her to take an extended break from Twitter. She’s a writer friend of mine and I know she has a good heart and really values community (the local church, in her tweet). I love your ideas here, and to this I would add not just what beliefs are healthy, but what beliefs are true. So much of deconstruction has been sifting through what was cultural and man-made vs God. And for me, what is true will always be what is healthy.

In addition to asking ourselves what is healthy, we can also ask ourselves what we want; a radical question for women. Do we even LIKE this religious perspective?
